In a nutshell the Aquarian Sadhana is an early morning group practice which lasts approximately 2 and a half hours and consists of the following 3 parts:
- Recitation of the Sacred Jap Ji Sahib - universal hymn of Guru Nanak (30 mins approx.)
- Kundalini Yoga Kriya (1 hr approx.)
- Chanting of Aquarian mantras (1 hr approx.)
Meditating and practicing yoga in the ambrosial period that leads up to sunrise is considered particularly powerful and fruitful. Therefore to encompass the London sunrise and capture these ambrosial hours we run Sadhanas from 5:00am till 7:30am.
The Aquarian Sadhana format was prescribed by Yogi Bhajan and the general idea behind it is to come together in Sangat at the most auspicious time of day and surrender a period of time, constituting just a tenth of our 24 hour day, in devotion to our higher self. What better way to start the day!
Our teacher training days begin on both Saturday and Sunday with the Aquarian Sadhana which is open to the general public as well as our enrolled trainees. Come and join us from 5:00am till 7:30am on any of the upcoming dates below - All are welcome!
